What a great day at the outdoor studio tour! So wonderful to reconnect with long time friends, followers, and collectors, meet new people and sell work. It was a gorgeous and happy day on many counts. This is a demo piece I did during the show. All day my materials were fighting me at every turn. The ink was resisting the plate and bubbling so instead of using a brayer to roll the ink on, I started wiping it on. The effect is quite different, lots of movement. I think I will explore this more after the tour is over. Mistakes and fights with materials often bear fruit if listened to.
